Songs
I Want to Connect
Donna Atwood

This song is an upbeat melody that spans time from childhood to old age. We all want to connect, from our past life to present day, and this song reflects that yearning.
One Stripe
Bob Cat & Elias Kushner of The Local Farmers Union

Sometimes when trying to create something on purpose, writer's block rears its ugly head, Then, you find yourself at practice, goofing around and connecting with your bandmates. During a soundcheck, someone asks “Bobcat, what mic are you on?” “The one stripe.” “Elias, you?” “2 stripe.” And a song is born.
Too Little Too Late
Patty Francis

Connection – to friends, family, residence – is a fundamental human need. I have never before felt so utterly DISCONNECTED from my country as I do at this moment, following the recent presidential election. Writing this song was the only way I could deal with the sorrow accompanying this disconnection.
Musical Compositions
Conversation for Cello and Piano
Lynn Koch

This piece is a conversation between cello and piano using two hymn tunes from different religious traditions. Although they share the same initial six-note pattern, the Hebrew tune is minor while the Christian tune is major. The instruments explore these differences before celebrating their connections in the concluding section.
Hot July Road
Scott Turner

Our desires, no matter how small, are met by networks of connections. A thwarted desire for some whipped cream on strawberries is easily satisfied through the network of roads, goods and services that connect the whipped cream to the strawberries.
