About Us

The Community Arts Challenge is an annual exhibit sponsored by Cortland Arts Connect (formally the Cultural Council of Cortland County) and The Center for the Arts of Homer.

Cortland Arts Connect supports, promotes, develops and celebrates the arts, artists and audiences of all ages and backgrounds to enhance the Cortland County community.

Center for the Arts of Homer

The Center for the Arts in Homer provides the region and community with a broad spectrum of cultural and artistic activities that provide education, enlightenment and entertainment. The Center is an accessible facility for year-round classes, workshops, exhibits, performances, summer camps, and conferences devoted to the visual and performing arts. The Center is also available for catered luncheons, organizational meetings, weddings, receptions, and holiday, private, and corporate parties.

The Center’s mission is to enhance the quality of life for the people of Central New York by engaging them in a broad offering of arts, education and entertainment that preserves and enriches the local culture, and provides stewardship for a historically significant site.

The Center for the Arts is located at 72 S. Main St. in downtown Homer on the corner of Routes 11 and 90, just off Exit 12 on I-81.
